This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with PPI.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. Checking detail to reactivate my call blocking service, asked for bank card details for the direct debit. Knew I paid phone bills by direct debit! Supposedly passed me to the manager to confirm it was a bonefide call etc. etc. I ended the call. Very aggressive.

Have been having a rash of calls in our local area from people calling claiming to be from various 'car insurance ' or 'legal service' firms saying 'you were in an accident' asking about wanting to claim for damages.
