Answerd phone and met with silence, then after about 10 seconds or so call was disconnected.
Automated call supposedly from office for NI contributions saying they had noted fraudulent activity on my NI number in Wales. They wanted me to press button 1 before they commenced legal action. I couldn't find button 1 before they hung up. Oh dear.

I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. I received a call from this number a while ago. When I picked it up I heard "thanks for your patience you will be transferred to an agent now" and the call was terminated. I called them back and a woman answered hello this is consumer helpline, how can I help . She then started saying something about loans. I am applying to jobsites and apparently there is a connection between a jobsite and this call, as I ve read in other comments as well.
