Caller claimed they were calling because my Beko washing machine warranty had expired. I don t have a Beko washing machine. I gave this incorrect information to a unwanted cold call last week (Indian caller, UK Preference, claiming they were doing a survey). They have obviously passed my details to this company.

SCAM Coputer voice said they were BT and there was suspicious activity on our phone line and they were going to disconnect it. Press 1 for ? or Press 2 to speak to someone about it. As we have not been a BT customer for nearly a year and do not use there phone line. We are with Virgin that does not use BT lines. It was a scam ! I did not press any number as it would probably cost us money. This company have 100's of numbers under the same prefix and change every last numbers every few day.

Yet another scam call from an Asian voice claiming to be from Windows help desk and tracing e-mail addresses used recently for attacks on other machines

Was called by this company re a minor RTA I had a few months ago and was told there was a pot of money waiting for me if I proceeded with a personal injury claim. I told him it had all been dealt with and I was satisfied but he did not want to take no for an answer and persisted in telling me I would be foolish not to make a claim. Got a couple of calls selling warranty First call said I had a Bosh washing machine, I said I was busy. The next day another call saying I had a Samsung. They tried to convince me of their glowing credentials, that they ve been operating for 10years. Got transfered to a manager which I asked again if I could check on Companies House website for Applianceserve Ltd Company number 08957597 and they promptly hung up on me. Unfortunately all appears to be a lie unless the goverment website is a lie...?

The caller was an automated voice claiming to be the HMRC. I was told that legal action was being taken against me for tax evasion and that I needed to press 1 on the keypad to get more information. Instead of doing that, I hung up and logged into my account online; nothing of the sort has appeared on my account, so I have to assume this is a scam aiming to get personal information from people
