Have been called 11 times on my mobile since 24th November by this and very similar numbers. I do not answer unknown numbers.

Text message claiming to be from HSBC. Said a payment had been set up in the name of K Adams with link if not recognised. I don t have an account with HSBC.

Cold caller claiming I could get a tax rebate if I wash work clothes. Told her I was already aware of that fact and I didn t need some a**hole cold caller trying to scam me. She hung up! Oops, my bad!

Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

I called back the number after abvout the 10th missed call. They are a company called MJE who want me to make a claim for missold PPI due to a loan or credit card. I didn t take PPI so told them they were wrong. Asked how they got my number, they get their phone list from a company called DLG Marketing. Told them to take me off the list, we ll see if I get anymore calls.

This organisation is not permitted to do what it does. The scheme that it refers to is " It will be the LA’s responsibility to make sure the criteria chosen allow them to identify eligible households. The criteria used by an LA will not be audited however Ofgem will check whether the SoI includes a section describing the methodology to be used in identifying eligible households.
