Automated number. Silence; but these bots test whether a telephone line is active and gets answered. Even if we say nothing our telephone number will be added to a 'responded/active' list; a list that is then sold to scammers.

SCAM I have received calls from this number and then been charged over £1 per call.

Telephone number 07451216084 rang. Automated call advising of high payments to Visa account and wanting me to press a number on my phone to check account. Total scam so terminated call! Do not engage with these types of unsolicited calls!

Spoke with Eon Next customer service. They said definitely a scam as they have no record of this number being theirs.

SCAM this number calls and tries to get you to sign up for medical emergency devices like pendants. They tell you different excuses for their call like you had a medical appointment and now qualify for a few pendant with a huge one off service fee on over £150 that y they then say is for 12 months service which isn't a one off payment. They all for your card or direct debit details and when you tell them you think it's a scam they hang up on you.

"David", in his very difficult-to-understand accent, said he was calling from '3' about upgrading my phone. Do I have an iPhone or a Samsung? I don't even have a contract with 3, so this has got to be some sort of scam. I rang off.

They became rude when I told them I would not give any information and did not owe any money. Caller pretends to be from BT alledging illegal access to your broadband. Asks you to download a website Anydesk.com. This shows you suppossedly all the users who are accessing you broadband. Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. The next bit is a bit weird as they ask you to make two pay

A man with a very strong accent (difficult to understand) spoke about iPhones. I asked where he got my number from and he said 'from your provider, Vodaphone'. I'm not with Vodaphone so I told him that's untrue and he must be lying. He then proceeded to call me a liar - twice! Bizarre phone call. Potentially trying to gain personal data. Blocked.

Scammer asking financial questions are trying to ask information about yourself

Claiming to be Curry's / PC World ringing about my mobile phone (I've never even purchased from them!)

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

Well spoken young male claiming to be from BT business and looking to review my phone usage and how I could reduce my costs. When I advised him that this was a residential line he said that as it was still being used for a business he could probably still save me money. When I showed disinterest he advised me that I would need to have a conversation with them soon as BT were discontinuing analogue phone services next year and we would lose our service if we didn't transfer to digital. I hung up.
