SCAM - My elderly mother received a call on her landline from this number (01536 210272) today 4Aug approx 5.10pm. Polite male caller asked her to confirm her name and address which he told her and she did. He said he was from BT and told her as she'd been a loyal customer, having never reported a problem, she was being offered a 35% discount on her bill. He said he was working for Amazon and needed to track down who had ordered 2 mobile phones from Amazon using my bank details (which he had) but had arranged to be delivered to an address that was not mine. To do this he wanted me to go into my bank app and arrange a transfer of £5000 to an account for which he provided and which my bank cleared as existing. I went along with it up to the point of transfer and he then became pressing and agitated.
