Silent call

Missed call, then "number not valid" when called back

Calls every day, usually hangs up. When I ve spoken to them they ignore requests not to call again. Number now blocked.

Darren from PPI called and wanted to know if I had credit cards. I asked to be removed from his listing he then stared saying I was swearing to distract from my request to be removed!

"Mark from Windows Support" called me to tell me that my computer had been attacked by a virus. I was pretty sure at that point, because most of the time it is up to you to call the company if you have a problem with your computer and not the other way around. Anyhow, I figured I play along to see where this is going and they told me to click Start - run - cmd and then to type in a code that would give them access to my computer. Fake number so definitely a scammer. NEVER call unknown numbers back. If you do so, you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number which will incur a large charge ...

Called landline today 10/07/2020 12:55pm, no message left. Double 00 at the start is a dead giveaway of a fake number.

Re below....untrustworthy!!! Claimed to be from EE, asked me if they were speaking to me by my name, I confirmed that they were speaking to the right person. Then they said “I’m going to hang up now” then hung up Reported to EE, they said they are a marketing company and are partners with EE as he checked it on the EE website. I had a miss call and I rang back just music so I hung up as I was scared it could of been a scam to get my details.

Trying to sell house insurance - very persistent, and asking too many personal questions ie bank details.

Judging by the comments on here, they seem to be a bunch of PPI [email protected]

Potential scam. There was a recorded message supposedely from my internet service provider (although it didn't say which ISP they were calling on behalf), saying that our internet service would be disconnected in 4 hours due to 'Router Malfunction'. Our router is working fine. I suspect this is a 'Technical Support Scam', where we would be expected to pay for fixing something that isn't broke.

Just silence when I answered.
