Fraud Call claimed to checking on possible fraudulent payments from a bank card (one to Amazon, and one international), and inviting me to press 1 to continue. But as it was left on answering machine this could not be done. No card provider specified and they didn't address me by name. On checking, no such payments have been made from any of my cards.

Just had a call from 0161 609 3325 with an automated voice saying they were from the Tax office and I was being investigated for fraud and if I didn't press 1 to be put through then the police would come to arrest me! Can't find anything on this number online.

If a transfer was "Unauthorised", then it should have been declined by the issuing bank, if not, the 'bank' would be liable! I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.
