Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!
