When Link contact you they might ask you to give them a reference number which they have previously left on your answering machine. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. SCAM Call starts with an automated message telling you that there is an arrest warrant out for you for underpaid tax and tax fraud. Continued the call to confront whoever initiated the call, and it follows through to an Indian call centre purporting to be HMRC. Do not give any details to these scammers!

did my usual for a number I don t know, answered phone, but kept quiet, waited for the other end to say something. as usual, a couple of seconds and the machine at the other end hung up.
This is a corker! You will like this one. So the girl calls me while I am sat in work - that isn t fair because I cannot string her along like I would normally. "We can help you with IVF, write of your debts" type of thing. Usually I would play along, and ask for lots of details - get the call to waste her time for about 5 or 10 minutes, like I said I say at my desk So she comes out with "this was actually set up by the queen" "What she set this up" "Yes" and I thought all she did was gro old

Call center Pertaining to be from Whoopsie.co.uk. Another boiler maintenance company. They actually seem to be a legitimate firm offering alternative boiler maintenance contract as insurance brokers.. However, I am already with British Gas and have no problems with them and also 7 month left on the contract. Rather pushy sales rep who insinuated I had wasted 20 minutes of her time. In that case, job done at this end I would say.
SCAM - Automated call - they told me they were from my internet service provider (but didn't give a company name) and that there had been illegal activity so they were going to cut my service.. unless I pressed 1 to speak to an adviser.
