Someone called "John" with a strong Indian accent supposedly calling form Virgin Media about my broadband speed. If you dial this number it gets you to Leeds General Infirmary...
Fraud: Bank scam. Suggests they are from your bank (but they don't tell you which one because they don't know) Informs you by automated call that large transfers have been made out of your account (which is rubbish). They hope you will be daft enough to talk to them so they can obtain your bank details. Why the Police and Telephone companies still allow these fraudsters to operate it beyond me.
I don't have this no in my contact. I have received 4 insistant calls from the same area code withi 10 mins. Seems very suspect.. plz follow up & advise if u have investigated.

28/6/2022 09:50hrs Automated male US sounding voice stating legal action launched for tax evasion, and must press 1 to avoid legal action.
The number identifies the message as RoyalMail contacting me. The mispelling of Royal Mail is reason enough to be suspiciouss. The asked me to click a link to redirect me to a web page to arrange delivery of a parcel they couldn't deliver. I have nothing on order and I am sure Royal Mail would not mispell their own name or contact me from a mobile. 100% a scam if like my elderly mother, you now look these strange numbers up online before responding.
Hid my number and called back. The phone was answered and it was about Sky scanner about booking flights that I did not initiate. SCAM.

Foreign accent, called to say they were from Direct Mobile Company. When I said I was going to end the call and report the number, he said; Oh, why you speak like that Ma'am? And then he proceeded to verbally abuse me before hanging up.

I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.
