Supposedly a company called Direct Legal, claimed to want to talk to me about compensation for an accident. A quick google search reveals they are a debt collection agency based in Buckley, even though the phone number has a Glasgow area code.

By most users this number is rated as a nuisance call, seems to be used for a general call centre of a general purpose, they profit on marketing of any goods or services. Better refuse to answer - it should be also a silent call (testing itf the number is answering). By some users it is also marked as used by the PAYDAY (loans company, check more on https://www.paydayuk.co.uk/ - they use 0800 280 2500 as a free customers line and 0871 271 6111)

Glen Dimplex Cookers etc Customer Care Help Centre Its expensive so I wrote a letter to the Chief Operating Officer, Michael Maher, at the Glen Dimplex Head office in Dublin, complaining about the cost. Waiting for a response ! I may be barking at the wrong tree though as its my mobile phone company, Vodaphone, that is charging 45p/minute as an access charge, whilst Glen Dimplex is charging max 10p per minute. So it appears that Vodaphone is the greedy party.

Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.
