This is different from CRUK (Cancer Research UK). Its Worldwide Cancer Research and they want donations. They keep calling once or a few times a day sometimes.
This is about the 5th similar Sheffield number making repeat and unsolicited calls to my phone. We have a call handling service and they don t leave a message. I have now blocked this number too.

claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. When I advised I was not at home(despite the fact they had called my landline) heard whispered conversation with a workmate/supervisor,asked to perform the same check on router again I repeated that I was not at home. This number keeps ringing me - my boyfriend answered it once (after many calls i refused to answer) and it was a man asking for another womans name. my boyfriend said he had the wrong number and it was left at that. Settled accident claim (9 months ago, not my fault, no physical injury sustained by me) and eventually accepted small payout after being hounded by solicitors. Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.
