Called a 99 year lady for a second time in 4 days stating it was a government call thankfully the lady had her wits about her and intercommed me (scheme manager) to come and take over the call. When I mentioned who I was the caller immediately hung up

This is a hoax .... say they are from currys and PC world... they offer upgrade on your phone, 1 week on no new phone canceled card payment and direct debit, phoned again today soon as they heard my voice they hung up, I've been keeping the line busy for the past 2 hours .... got nothing better to do. I know ut won't do any good but I must be annoying them and stopping them catching anyone else out.

02036109310 SCAM I believe, Claimed to be Edward from virgin media about my firewall protection...was very keen to want to send me something on my mobile. He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. Told him my phone was not internet connected as I found it to distracting and he hung up without a goodbye.I suspect the thought of a work issued laptop put him off as it would have good security and catch the rogue link he wanted to send me?

Fraud. Will firstly state on an automated voice it’s from HM revenue and they’re going to take action against you. Press 1 to speak to an officer etc.. foreign guy picks up asking how he can help, state they called me? And then they hang up. Absolutely fraud!

Fraud SCAM Cold call. Indian voice asks you to give long card number as some payment at some time "did not go through". I remember no such occasion with an Indian agent, and if this does happen with any other, they immediately check and enter the card number again and it does go through. I said I can't just give my card number to an unknown caller for an unknown transaction, and the agent said he would get their lawyers to deal with me. I have blocked the number.

SCAM? This number called with a recorded message saying to press 1 to speak to hmrc tax officer. Did not have my name or anything but said that discrepancies had been found on my tax return and could be a criminal offence. Cut off when I didn't respond. Doubt that hmrc would be calling from Russia

Scam connected to the Excel Hotel group, part of ONA Group in Spain. When rung back it goes to an international ring tone and an extension on a phone system.

Call from a SCAM gardening &amp; landscaping firm (Tree &amp; Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash &amp; took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.

SCAMMER, just answer and hang up immediately, so they can pay for wasted call. :)

Caller pretends to be from BT alledging illegal access to your broadband. Asks you to download a website Anydesk.com. This shows you suppossedly all the users who are accessing you broadband. Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. Unsure but a recorded voice will tell you that there is a serious case against you and that you must respond otherwise you will get your National Insurance cancelled. I suggest you hang up immediately and block the number.
