They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. strange unsolicited call from number belonging to: 'W A Read & Sons Ltd' Upon answer there was no reply and the phone put down. I called them several times over and got redirected to voicemail until they eventually gave up and answered. Lady picked up and I asked "What do you want"? No response and phone was put down. This happened two more times. They then disconnected the phone it seems.
