Claimed to be life insurance and knew both my parents names but when I asked them they didn’t know who he was claimed to be Tom from venisure, or something like that, but I don’t think it’s trustable and is a potential scammer preying on the older generations
got a call from this number saying they are calling from an insurance review service and asked for what life insurance I have and when was it last reviewed and what benefits I'm getting. After a few seconds stopped talking and I had to hang up. Very annoying.

Beware Scammer and Hacker! Number used to replace my recovery phone on my Xiaomi account in an attempt to lock me out of my phone. Part of a larger problem where If I hadn't realised what was going on he could have potentially gotten into all my accounts locked me out of them too, then blackmailed me to release them. The phone number that they suggest I ring to talk about the renewal or cancellation is +44 1348 881008 this on checking, is a company in Dudley, using a [email protected] address. I may be wrong but I don't have any service plans with Currys and I think their e-mail address would include some reference to currys.

Scam - offered to come and do free security check and install cameras to elderly resident, he didnt sign anything, they took his information and charged him for the free consultation, and installation of 8 camera (non installed or agreed too). Call today supposed to be from BT telling me my IP address was public and hey would make it private. 2 men in what sounded like a room full of people spoke to me. I sked where the were calling from and they gave me an actual BT address in London. I asked the guy if he was Indian and yes he was. I told him the 1st person I spoke with was India too. I asked him if this was a scam. I then heard someone say drop the connection. So looks like a scam to me.
