Very lazy scammer. Get a very casual message using whatever name you are using on gumtree telling you youre paypal account has been hacked and to log in to change your pass.Like any sort of financial service would be running their security through a mobile.What made it more amusing for me is if they bothered seeing the third line of the ads they got my number from theyd see in large letters NO PAYPAL

SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person

Called this number back & she claimed to be from HMRC who apparently have served me with two warrants around miscalculation of Tax. They apparently called at my home on two occasions during lockdown when I was home and not allowed to leave me house. She was very plausible, giving me a name, badge number and warrant ref numbers. Scam, left a voicemail saying if I need to press one to get connected to hmrc because I have tax fraud in my name and if I don't ASAP I'll have a warrant out for my arrest. This isn't something hmrc threaten you with over voicemail.

They are an approved EE 3rd party, but seem very unprofessional asking me for security details on an outbound call, goes completely against DPA, unless this has changed in recent years.

Recorded message stating it was from Amazon telling me my iPhone 7 (yes 7) was being shipped and to press 1 for further information. Got an Asian woman thanking me for calling Amazon with my query, I strung her along for a while before disconnecting, Dangerous.

I'm not expecting any parcels 3. The tracking number appended to the link wasn't recognised by the genuine ParcelForce tracking site.
