Called from hmrc saying I have a court case with allegation of suspicious income and owing hmrc over £600. They asked me to pay it over the phone to avoid court case!
This number stated that it was Halifax and provided a link to click on. “To verify a recent payment made from your account, please click on the link for further details.”
