No answer when I picked up. Part of a series of different suspicious mobile numbers to have called me since yesterday. Only one of them responded when I picked up a (an automated message supposedly from my unnamed Internet provider).

Comes up as International call but on investigation is a number from Alford uk.. obvious scam.

Indian accent. Asked speak mr .. My female name, I asked who was calling they hung up. Called three times I say it s only 1pm

Have been ringing me for days and finally caught me out when I answered. Said their records show they could save me some money on my mortgage! Bearing in mind I’ve just tied in to a fixed rate with a completely different bank to see how and told them so, then he asked what I’m paying in insurance premiums and when I said I’d really rather not say, he just hung up! Got called from this number. I didn't answer it but when I saw the area code, I assumed it was friends travelling in that part of UK so rang back but got an automated reply...

They call from this number twice a day under the guise of different company names - Direct Utilities, Business Utilities, Select Utilities, Regional Utilities. They are clearly dumb, because when requested to remove our details from their records and stop calling, they say OK and then don t do it, despite being told the we only have a mailing box address and therefore have no need for utilities. Go back to school, children!
