SCAM - Claimed to be calling from The Insulation Advisory Board in Reading - it doesn't exist. Stated that insulation installed under previous 'Green Scheme' needed checking for damp every 4 years and they would arrange to do it for Free!! Mildly irritating and worrying for the unworldly. A very dangerous number claiming that I was going to be arrested for tax fraud, knew instantly it was a scam so I challenged the person calling. Man claimed to be named Adam Smith, questioned him and he instantly hung up on me.

For once, an unknown number that is actually legit. It was a call from Thames Water. I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number but the voice message was genuine with specific details (including the correct address) about a drainage issue I d discussed with them earlier. Genuine call.
