Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and there is a warrant for your arrest. They say don't hang up phone call otherwise they will record that you tried to run away from arrest and they will be waiting at your place of residence until you arrive to arrest you. With the pandemic, lots of people have had trouble paying tax, so it might seem real, but this is a scam. They will always give you a chance to work out a payment plan. Avoid, block.

Computer-generated voice purporting to be from Amazon informing me that I needed to make a payment (to maintain my membership of Amazon Prime?). This has never happened before. I hung up and took and no action.
Had numerous calls from this number, tried to call back but was told I had dialled an incorrect number??!!! I thought cold calling was illegal in the u.k?? There should be some way of finding out once and for all who this number belongs too, so that complaints can be made to the right people so that we can stop this kind of harassment !!! I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
