They called and said they were from BT about my broadband and whether it was working ok. I said I didn t know as I d only just got home, and they hung up. When I called back the number was unknown.

three chasing bills

I have had three calls from fictitious numbers being used by these criminals in one day. They are easily identified by crackling noises and indistinct speech. I said nothing. They quickly rang off. If I had let them they would have tried to get access to my computer.

SCAM calls from APPBOX MEDIA

As with 01252765294 this is a company called Erudio. Other people have said it s a student loan company and "has news of overpayment" how true this is I do not know. However their computer system is contacting me relentlessly and it s getting rather annoying!

Dialled 1471 on returning home (just in case I had missed an important call) and was informed that 07410973664 had called. As no message had been left I was curious to know who had called.

Every flipping tea time for weeks this company have called our number only to hang up after 4 rings, At last, I managed an olympic sprint...got ya on the 2nd ring. A charming young lady informed me our house insurance was due for renewal 1st January, Really, I said, news to me. Then I hung up. Blow me down, she called back the next day and asked for our re-newall date. I informed her that s for me to know and you to ponder on, please stop ringing our number. Asked to confirm details of our free listing which is fine, then starts asking questions how many phone lines, what provider etc, so yet again another cold call probably trying to flog telephone services while pretending to be something else

called then automated voice saying this is from inland revenue, your tax bill is wrong press 1 to return call. scam

As with the comments above I received two calls from HMRC saying they were filing a lawsuit against me. I was told to press 1 to speak to a case officer who had a strong Indian accent, asked me to spell my name and confirm my address (which I didnt and put the phone down).

This is a company called utilita marketing. If you ring them back they give you the option to opt out of all calls from them.

But will not discuss anything unless you tell them the last digits of bank account, full address and password or memorable information (in full - not just selected characters).
