Called my mobile while I was driving. Although I have hands-free I did not answer because it was an unrecognised number. Once home I looked it up on several sites; on other sites other people have left reports of a scam, fake calls purporting to be Virgin Media etc. I have blocked the number.

A recorded message asking me to press 1 to stop a fraudulent transaction taking place on my "visa" card. But I don't have a visa card anyway. Received a similar call, couple of days ago from a mobile number 07514757657.
Rang me on two consecutive days but did not leave me any voicemail! I rang their number & a prerecorded greeting to enquire if I already had insurance, did I want to buy insurance or to wait & speak with an operator - I did not want nor intend to research the number any further but would suggest the number is a legitimate buisness making cold calls from Facebook Users who had clicked on an insurance advert and is probably of neutral impact & not any real risk if you do not pass any details in

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. cold calling - they pretend to be linked to lots if Life Assurance companies and acting on their behalf. They are not. Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. They said they were from HMRC. That I was due a refund due to my tax on a ppi claim. I have never claimed on a ppi form. I asked them to put the information in the post, they declined saying they don’t use the post. I then said we’ll send me an email and if you are HMRC you will have my email address. They then said if I changed my mind to phone them. Very strange

SCAM they purported to be from Three network and said that as a valued customer I could receive s reduction on my monthly payment. I gave them my name, dob and address as they requested it to confirm their details. I became suspicious when they asked for my bank sort code and account no so they could amend the direct debit. SPAM A very quick internet browse told me that this was a spam call and so it proved. Don't even know what it was they were trying to sell, offer, advertise or what but the caller didn't even sound sure of what he wanted to tell me! Just told them where to go.

Spam caller claiming to be from Vodafone (my mobile contract isn't with Vodafone), wanting my bank details so they could apply a discount to my contract. Very persistent - when I told them I didn't know my postcode they called back the following night. Even provided me with a (mobile!) number I could call to check that they really were Vodafone.
Fraud Reckoned they were from Amazon - wouldn't tell me their name or discussed any details - just wanted to know delivery address from Iphone 7 that I had apparently ordered. Never used Amazon.
My phone flagged the call as POTENTIAL FRAUD so I didn't answer. No voicemail.
