Apparently it is his job to get PPI papers to me and just needed to check my address, which he had (!!), needed my D.O.B. which he didn't get. Says I made an online application, which I haven't. Wasted 13 mins of his time fencing with him. Rang the number back they are Assist Financial Management but all you get is music & a muppet voice telling me how my call is very important to them and to stay on the line. Got a call from this number saying they are from HMRC and I have criminal record for outstanding tax payments. They said if I don’t pay today over the phone a warrant will be out for my arrest. Tried calling the number back and It says service closed with a dial tone. Sounds like a scam to me. Please be aware.

I believe that the woman asking the question, 'I was informed that you have been involved in a car accident' is a recorded voice which responds to your answers. When I said that she was misinformed another phrase asking for 'the date of the accident', came back and so on until the line went dead. I'm convinced this is a robot! It's irritating at best, but would be upsetting for anyone who had a family member or friend involved in a bad accident.
