Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.
I don't know the full details of the calls, but 01270 311034 has been harassing my father today, calling back every few minutes despite him repeated telling them "no". Seems like the behaviour of scammers to me.
Used my name. Asian Male caller said he was from BT Openreach. Said he was aware of problems with our broadband speed and if I was near our computer and could log in. When I said that I would have to go our computer and could I have his number to call him back and verify his request to me, the line was immediately shut down

Called our house phone asking to speak to a Mr ****, my partner answered and said sorry no one lives here with that name, they got really angry with him and hung up. As this is a principle of ASDL Service and not a surprise at all, I asked her to provide more information and she hung up.. Annoying, unprofessional... BT should investigate..

I was asked whether the information he was provided was correct - Interested to see where this was going my reply was ' please proceed' I was then spoken to rather rudely ' There is no point proceeding if its not correct' and was hung up on...... (I'm not a Mum!) and the text said that they are calling from a friends phone and their battery is about to expire so please call them back.
