number called me & i missed the call - when i replied it said number was not in service !!!

They call leaving voicemails saying ‘this is not a marketing call, please call back’ I’ve also had texts asking to call back quoting the following reference number...which is different every time. And the name they use to address me via text spells both my first and last name wrong (not just one letter wrong, almost incoherently wrong!) so I will be blocking these obvious scammers!

Phoning for someone else even though I have had this number since 2012. I asked them if they were a debt collector and they said it was a personal matter and that they would remove the number. Refused to say who gave them my number. It s always the same person that these companies are after. Do they give up and sell the debt on, complete with MY phone number?
