The reply was they were ringing on behalf of the government to stop people paying excessive credit charges. Asked them to remove my number. Staff member shirty said she had not spoken to me before and just wanted to know my circumstances. Is this one big scam? My mobile is blocked and number hidden so where do they get the information?

Called me (unexpectedly) about a genuine claim - I didn't fully understand the purpose, but they did have relevant details about the incident (date / parties involved / vehicles). They weren't trying to sell me services and it wasn't a medical claim situation. I would suggest not giving information as I still don't understand what their involvement was...

I was rung up on 30.8.21 by a female Indian (?) voice claiming to be a representative of BT. There was a large amount of background noise, indicating, presumably, that this female was ringing from some sort of call centre. As I do not have a BT phone I rang off before she could get into her stride about rates. My hope is that she and her colleagues will slip in a pile of dog poo and break their ruddy necks.
