This number called Saturday 4th March early to say they were calling on behalf of amazon they were trying to stop our amazon account being hacked and our credit cards charged. Short story they are scammers trying to release you of your funds. They then continue with mobile phone numbers after this point. Be extremely careful when answering this number.

They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. This was a call from a call tariff firm wanting to increase its network it is a cold call and has obtained my number via a sale from other companies I have blocked the number and asked the company to remove me from their call lists immediately this is the second call i have had from a similar number and I asked the last called to remove my number also this did not happen the 1st Time - I will see if it happens again.

DANGEROUS SCAM pretending to be from well known companies, asking questions and asking you to confirm your personal information and banking information. Do NOT divulge any information to them at all and do not call them back if you missed the call. BLOCK number as calls and texts are persistent.

This number called me. There was silence for a few seconds before they hung up.
Fraud A banking scam - purporting to be TSB and checking fraudulent transactions. Almost convinced us to give standing orders and direct debit details, and had confirmed a couple of transaction. Eventually wanted to close card/account and open a new one!!! Too many alarm bells. Steer well clear. VERY VERY CONVINCING!
