This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. This number belongs to PayStream. They are a company who provide payroll and accountancy services to contract workers (like me) and I am one of their customers. They called me on a matter relating to my account with them, so this was in no way a nuisance call to me. I can't guarantee they don't use it to cold call people who aren't customers, but either way they are definitely a genuine business and provide a useful service.

SCAM / SPAM SCAM ALERT Just had a call from this number: 01332166297 Automated recording claiming to be from HMRC. Said if I didn't press 1 to be connected to an officer, a warrant would be issued and I'd be arrested shortly. Obviously I'm not that stupid and reported it via a function on my phone.

I responded that I don t take cold calls on my mobile and wouldn t be answering her questions - she then went into attack mode and tried to argue why I should answer. Red buttoned and blocked.
