Just received a text from this number that began 'Morning Mum...' (I'm not a Mum!) and the text said that they are calling from a friends phone and their battery is about to expire so please call them back. There is no name of either the sender or the friend or the reason why they are calling so I suspect it's a scam. Please be cautious if you receive this message

Hi all I had a phone call yesterday from an Indian lady that said to me i had applied for a phone contract with 3. She went through an exhaustive list of what to expect and would run a credit check. I gave my name D.O.B and my address. After she finished talking (I thought she would never shut up). She told me i had passed the credit check .Then proceeded to tell me how much i would be paying a month,how many minutes,texts etc;. She told me i would be receiving my phone today 5-8-15 The time is now

Caller hung up on answering which strongly suggests a call centre multi caller arrangement. I do get a number of website developer calls due to owning a few domain names.
Phoned knowing my name. Wanted to talk about an car accident I had been involved in during the last 36 months. Didn't understand what they were talking about because I haven't been involved in one. Know the town I live in. Asked if a family member had put my name down. When I asked who they were they put down. Do not recommend answering.
