SCAM Over the last week I have had calls from this company who purports to be from Amazon stating that a certain amount of money will be taken and press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to an operator - do not do either HANG UP - Checked with both Amazon and bank they would not leave message like this. Also for reference they also use 0204 520 3908/0204 5203909 and 0208 194 2753. The scripts are slightly different stating that £00 will be taken for Amazon and £1100 bank transfer. Do Not engage with them

Silent call, didn’t leave a message.

A female speaking chinese or mandarin, no idea what was being said. May have mentioned UPS which co-incidentally I've been receiving scam emails recently purporting to be from them about an outstanding delivery which I can categorically state I am NOT awaiting. This is likely to be connected. SCAM every day in my opinion.

This is the latest spoof number in the "Carphone Warehouse" scam - they aren't Carphone Warehouse but a bunch of crooks after your bank details.

01223931099 rang with a very loud background noise proporting to be a call centre. The caller, with a strong foreign accent, alleged he was from sky refund centre; however, when I said ok in a less than enthusiastic manner, the caller hung up. This is most unlike any sky call centre I have experienced. I suspect it to be a scam.

IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

very strange conversation. said they were calling from a company and cooperated with official gouvernments, investigating a crypto scam I had been a victim of. completely false. I hang up.

SCAM a gentleman of Indian persuasion or cultural heritage that thought I was female. Which is a nice touch, but last time I scratched an itch all my tackle was very much in place. I loved the Virgin Media representation, however I had the feeling iny belly that he was a scamming bastard. Mysteriously the phone call was cut short which I'm rather disappointed by as I was just about to share some colourful medical issues that I've recently heard from my mother. Some depressed and dejected sounding indian fellow saying something about a discounted iphone or some nonsense, as per standard procedure I frustrated his efforts and wasted his time until he hung up.

SCAM. I received all my items from online ordering so I knew something was suspicious.

Call received today (11 Jan) saying from they were from Amazon and did I wish to continue with my Prime subscription or cancel it. Simply responded by asking 'why would you as that'. No response, they disconnected the call.

A definite scam, pretending to be from O2 but couldn't even get the brand name right - kept saying O2 mobility.
