SCAM Called saying they were from BT and my internet speed had been reported as an issue. A technician are working on it, but it was software on my router that was wrong. Got me to look up internet speed. Gave them fake results, which would have been top drawer, to be told they were not good Passed me to another technician to get me to open windows run and enter 'www.anydesk.com'. That scam has been doing the rounds for years. Told them I worked in IT, and they hung up!

Automated call - voice said i have now been charged £500 to my credit card for an Iphone which i dont like or use. Calling the number back and it is not possible to connect the call.

Was called out of the blue about the crypto world trade centre scam, wanting to send me an email to get my funds back - sounds really dodgy apparently they are Virgin Tech - no website, I rang the number back, it connected to ananswerphone message but with no mention of the company. Alarm bells.

I think this is a scam call pretending to be 02. They send you a code via text and then ask for the code to be able to access your account online. The security says to no give the code to 02 staff, soo if they are real why are they asking for the code to apply supposed discount!!!

Called us trying to get us to “renew” a care plan, and only wanted our bank account details so they could send us renewal details. Claimed that “under GDPR, they could not retain those details”. Somebody purporting to be "Ellie from Options" texting me about my non-existent job application, asking for my address, email address, national insurance number, copies of passport, birth certificate, proof of national insurance, copy of my Cscs card (whatever that is!) back and front, 2 x working references. This number called claiming we had poor internet connection, very persistent insisting I go into my emails whilst he was on the phone. Our connection only checked the day before was fine. Be aware of this.

SCAM Phone sim swop scam designed to by pass the 2 step verification system and gain access to passwords, banking etc. Looks like a Birmingham company actually based in Karachi. Bit of digging on Linkedin etc confirm this and that is it a cover for many businesses including call centres. Tells you all you need to know.

The caller said that they were from the National Grid and needed to change my meter. Apparently it is malfunctioning. This is a prelude to trying to get my bank details I thin; I didn't hold on for long enough to find out.
