Several times a week this number is calling me. Always hangs up as I answer.

Trying to call about PPI. However they are becoming a pest now and are about to be reported to the ombudsman as they are now calling me up to half a dozen times a day!

Claims to be from Openreach to discuss a service issue with my ISP. Wanted me to run a program from a website my ISP has blocked. Scammers??

I find asking them what my name is gets rid pretty quickly

I ve been getting calls from this number for a few weeks. Every time I pick up, there is nobody on the line.

I have had three calls from fictitious numbers being used by these criminals in one day. They are easily identified by crackling noises and indistinct speech. I said nothing. They quickly rang off. If I had let them they would have tried to get access to my computer.

This is FPC or Fredpay.com. They are a collection agency who normally act on behalf of Vodafone. They ask for your name , date of birth, post code etc. to confirm your identity. Simply dont give it to them and they cant continue the conversation !

HMRC Scam. Threatening call - this is not how HMRC operate.

This number called at 9:50am as soon as I answered the other end hung up.

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. He said they were a debt consolidation company so I asked who was financially backing them. He said he couldn t tell me so I advised him that the information should be public knowledge and available from Companies House. They called my number asking for me by a name I haven t gone by for nearly 5 years, so I am assuming that somewhere someone / some company, has sold on their client list. I said she wasn t available and could I take a message, the scouse guy gave Chase Alexander as the company name. The same company that pretty much harassed me last year on various different landline and mobile numbers. Each time i just said I didn t know the person they called for etc.

Called it back - doesn't state the company name, just goes straight onto hold.
