Received a call at 04:53 - woken up . No one spoke
Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

SCAM Didn't know my name and launched into a speil immediately, but i couldn't hear most of what she said as the sound kept cutting out. Became very abusive when I asked her to repeat herself. Eventually hung up on me. I now know how to get these parasites to leave me alone.

Text job scam on Whatsapp. I never applied for such a thing. There was an “intern” copy pasting the job requirements. The job itself seemed too good to be true. I looked up the actual company said number was impersonating on Linkdin and the roles offered were for experienced workers (not trainees like the scammers said) and had roles for very specific areas of the uk. The scammer couldn't elaborate on where this “job” is based but it could miraculously work from home. They had very bad English grammar.

Received an email from PayPal this morning saying that a money request from someone called Johna Radcliffe for 899.99 GBP, with the message "suspicious activity found in your account 899.99 gbp has been debited called us immediately to report @ +44-800-368-9757. This number called me and said my card had been used twice, first for £500, than the second for £1000 with Amazon. Obviously a scam.
Caller claimed to be from BT technical services. She told me that there were a number of people using my internet connection and there numerous errors. Fraud Called pretending to be instructed by an United Kingdom Insurance Limited. He spoke very convincingly and was stubborn that the call was "not out of the blue" that he was instructed to call me because they had to transfer funds to me in relation to driving accident that was not my fault. My elderly father had a call this evening at 7pm from this number advising him that £95 was due for his prescription charges. He does not pay for his medications. I will telephone the company who owns the number tomorrow to make them aware that someone is using their number for illegal purposes.

This number is a scam. My mum received a message from this number purporting to be me saying that I had broken my phone and could she use another number to message me on Whatsapp. This is the "Mum I've lost my phone scam" and this number cannot be trusted.
