How this has been given a safe rating is beyond me!! Claim they are from O2 and send a code and then ask for it. They will then proceed to send you a phone by mistake and ring you back in a panic and say they sent it to you by mistake and can you send it back to them. Just hang up!!

Can't prove it but seems sketchy. I don't even live in the UK and don't business or anything. Not a single reason for someone from the UK to call me.

But the 121 message service only catches the end of the message which asks you to press now to avoid court proceedings. Therefore this appears to be a Scam and the number should be treated with extreme caution. This is the second time in a few days I have been targeted and the number also had 07738 prefix but followed by 207964

Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. Appears to be a scam re £900 use on persons visa card, wants you to press various numbers, I will report to my bank, on no account press any numbers suggested!

This automated call received today, saying from bank security and calling re 2 transactions on account. I instantly put phone down as have had these calls before and then when found out was from Bangalore put block on my phone for this number.

Recorded message - Caller reckoned that were two suspicious transactions on my accountOne from Amazon and one an overseas payment.

07477 707231 didn't answer it as it's on a phone number that I don't use for anything or give out. Tried calling it back and it just says number not recognised, so clearly some sort of scam. I suspect it's the HMRC scam that's going around.

Definitely a scam. They obtained a DHL notification for something ordered overseas then try and make you think you need to pay import duty. Do not ring as number transfers to foreign network.
