This number has called my 90 year mother several times re PPI. This have been several times asking her to press for operator.

Left a text message on my mobile phone claiming they want me to give them my number so they can ring me back regarding a personal accident claim and how much I am entitled to. Except I don t have a personal accident claim. Obviously some kind of phishing text.

Called Telegraph Sales team and got them to manually remove my number - we ll see if that works - but imagine if we all did that ? Brilliant. It s 0800 33 20 20

My partner received numerous calls saying his number was on some guys girlfriends phone we quickly realised it was an automatic recorded voice as if you don t speak it carries on speaking as though having a conversation ect. We got bored and hung up and then the same number called my mobile it highlighted as spam on the call but I answered but it was some American woman saying my number was on her guys cell (hmm funny there was no caller area code just a blatant UK mobile number that called) we had the same

Cost trap called back to a recorded message, I disconnected after 3 seconds and got charged 41p. Message said in a computer voice that its the local boiler cleaning company... Don t think so

Prolific PPI junk message company who usually use 0844 numbers to delivery their junk voicemails, however they appear now to have changed their numbers to 0161 (Manchester) geographical ones. They also use 0161 265 0135 DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LISTENING TO THESE SPAM MESSAGES!!!!!

Answered call which was hung up immediately by them. SCAM!

This has just happened to me £20.50 and £21.25 taken. bank has blocked them and Fraud investigation pending.

I know it was the Bank of Scotland as they were calling me about a specific query on my account, I had emailed them yesterday.... no cold calling, no upselling of products. just customer service.

It is money expert and they are legit. Nothing to do with the journalist Martin Lewis s site. They will be following up something you have applied for or enquired about at some point online. Unfortunately whatever you register for they always want a number so there s a lesson to us all. Don t give out your number if you don t want to be called!!!! Called asking for me by name regarding an accident I'd had on the road. Not had one and when I told them they were polite and said they'd remove my number (I doubt it)
