01208 638782 is from a loft insulation company trying to worry consumers into buying insulation from them. When I politely said I was not interested, they abruptly cut me off.
SCAM Male called at 10.30am 22/2/21. Stated he was from Domestic Appliance Care. Not Domestic and General. We have a policy with D&G and this man gave details of our appliances we have covered. My record will show that I have been alert through two telephone contacts from my sheltered housing flat in ensuring that my bills are timeously paid with appropriate assurances. I, no-one I know, and no-one in their right mind would answer an unknown number. After searching through hospital numbers for fear it might be a dear friend trying to get in touch I found tonight the 10 or more calls came from my energy supplier with whom prior arrangements were amicably in place. SCAM / SPAM I received an automated voice call from this number at 12:31, supposedly from Amazon Prime informing me that over £70 had been deducted for my membership and I should press "1" to speak to someone to discuss this. I hung up. I am not a member of Amazon Prime and have had calls like this before. I expect if I had spoken to someone, they would have asked for my bank account details so they could cancel it.
