SCAM The caller claims to be from Amazon and in this call discussed my having two Amazon Prime accounts, one with an annual fee and the other with a monthly subscription. She asked whether I wished to cancel the yearly subscription. I replied yes preferring to determine the account on a monthly basis. This number sent me an OTP number for a purchase I didn’t make. Checked with bank - it’s fraudulent.

SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.

Received a call purporting to be US (?) customs regarding outstanding tax, threatening legal action and suggesting press 1. All the evidence was a scam but potentially dangerous as having connected all personal data might be at risk

Then the usual press 1 to speak to the next available Scammer. Needless to say, there was NO money taken. They did not ask for anyone in particular and never mentioned any Bank
