SCAM / SPAM Automated telephone call, saying that they are from Virgin Media & I have a problem with my router and the internet will be disconnected in 4 hours. Then I get connected to a call centre. I am told that I have downloaded a virus which is affecting my internet. When I tell him that is very strange as my virus protector has not detected a virus and my internet is working fine, he hangs up. when I call it back the number is dead

On picking up the phone the line was silent for a couple of seconds, then there was the brief sound of call centre chatter and the line went dead. Almost certainly a scam call.
