Claims to be calling from Virgin Media, when challenged (I'm on TPS, I'm not in a Virgin cable area, etc) they hang up. Same outfit call three or four times a day, always from a different spoofed number.
SCAM - Automated message internet will be disconnected
Phoned to try and advise me I am owed £1000 s from overpaying into a pension pot. Asked him to google PTS and he hung up - how rude!!!!

This is a private number but seems to be being used to gain bank details from vulnerable people. We have been called by people finding this number on their phone when we don't call anyone on this number.

SCAM - recorded message saying they are from HMRC and that your number has been selected for a fraud check. If you do not press 1, you will be arrested. As an employee of HMRC, I knew this was a scam but others could potentially fall for this.
Accident Expert Law supposedly got my number from the Road Traffic Accident Department, and wanted to check if I had had an accident in the last two years. They didn t know my name which wasn t a great start, they hung up when I asked how they had actually got my telephone number. So I rang back and asked to talk to the manager - Maxwell Anderson - a man who has the unusual ability of being in two places at the same time, on one line in the office and also out of office. I ve called them ten times,
