Message sent claiming to be my child and to block their old number and text this new number from now on. I asked which child and was told to guess... amazingly I guessed the name correctly! (even though I have no kids). I'm guessing this long lost child would probably eventually ask for some money or something...

Just thought I’d mention this. Had a bunch of missed calls and then two texts “mate I’m outside I’ve gotta go” and “answer the phone” and don’t remember the phone ringing, and it looks pretty dodge to me. I did a reverse search for the number and it brought me to this website. It appears to be a Vodafone no. that’s registered in Preston; I live in London and know of nobody that lives there! Seems this number has been searched for before.

This was definitely a call from a scammer. These use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION to these callers or confirm you...
This is from a company who cold call stratigy is to provide you a service you don't want and do not give up on calling you. They want to know if you are a home owner ect purveying to save people money whom you leave your estate to when you have left this world. What they really want is to making money for there company.
