Nothing more than an unsolicited call trying to source personal information under the guise of a non-existent PPI claim/refund. "Mark" pretended to know me, yet then asked me to "confirm some details for his records". Unsurprisingly he doesn t appear to have any details other than my phone number, leaving me free reign to waste his time for a bit with ficticious info. IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!
