Scam caller
Unsure whether it was a scam call or not - talking about our internet connection, disconnecting etc.... couldn't find this number on the providers website. Hence, I just redialled the number and it doesn't exist - what a surprise, not!
Missed call
Said he was from a benefit office of a life insurance company but they were not a provider. Then went on about financial advice. Said no thanks and goodbye.
My number on contract with o2 taken over by fraudster. O2 cancelled the number but it has been used in attempts to access my credit cards. Also possibly being used as a debit card app. number. Police and Action Fraud are aware.
I had some crypto on a Bitcoin wallet that I thought was lost for good. I'd sent my laptop to a variety of top data recovery firms, but with no luck. After seeing a positive comment about Wong best Wizard on "Morning Brew", I decided to try to recover my wallet one last time. he was very responsive to WhatsApp, and recovered my wallet in just a few days. Hi Mum, can you text me when you see this. My phone just died.
SCAM - rang first from a London landline. Stating this is Scorpions and I have applied for a loan for £2000 with £99 monthly repayment over 24 months. Explained I haven’t. Began insulting me after he said I should stop wasting people’s time if I don’t need the loan. Politely asked to watch his tone. Started screaming “Shut Up! Shut Up!”. Hung up. Called from the mobile number just to say “Fuck You”.
‘Discount utilities’ - I called the number back because I’ve been getting daily calls! Annoying! Seems to be a call centre cold calling
SCAM
Fraud A well spoken man allegedly called "John" saying he understood I was the the homeowner which I declined to answer and started banging on about solar panels. Told him I wasn't interested and hung up. Like many other reports I am TPS registered, so if a genuine company they are breaking the law. If a scam, as I suspect it is, of course also illegal. Have NOTHING to do with this number and "company" !!
