This was a recoded voice and the script sounded very dubious. I was asked to call them back immedicately about something to do with excise and customs, and that it was very time sensitive. Definitely sounded like a scam. Needless to say, I did not call back.

SCAM! Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. Another landline number associated with the scammers is 02034042911.
Had several missed calls, no message ever left. I have since answered one of them, the lady had my name, number, street and started to try to sell me something? I stopped her and asked who she was again "Money club, part of the groupon group" was the answer. This is a devious company called Customer Calls Ltd in London. If you search for Legal and General Insurance, you will find a site high in the search results that provides a premium rate number as a contact for Legal and General. They claim the number is cheap but it is not!! My wife was charged £16 for 13 minutes plus two text messages at £3 each to provide Legal and General's contact details that are readily available on the internet for free...AVOID!!!
