HMRC is aware of an automated phone call scam which will tell you HMRC is filing a lawsuit against you, and to press 1 to speak to a caseworker to make a payment. They can confirm this is a scam and you should end the call immediately. This scam has been widely reported and often targets elderly and vulnerable people.I have received such a call scam today, from the number :02036274467.

SCAM / SPAM Pretends to be your life insurance company
Called to say delivery would be late
Pretended to say I signed up for something and was calling to discus bonds/stocks etc. By "ticking a box". Told him it wasn't me and if I did it would have been an accident. Sounded like a real conman throwing out big names and trying to engage me fragulantly. Probably praying on the elderly
