SCAM: A new scam! Female automated voice, claiming to be from Tesco's, saying that the iPhone I ordered is in, and £££ has been charged to my account. I don’t shop at Tesco’s, and have never had or ordered an iPhone. Disgusting scammers!

user called and because the number is very close to our company mobiles i answered, the result was an automated message thanking us for buying a new iphone from Amazon and my card would be charged 350 odd quid.

This number has been hounding my wife and I for the best part of a year. When I answer the line goes dead. We have repeatedly asked Scottish Power to remove our mobile numbers from their database to no effect. As Scottish Power customers we feel we deserved better. We have now changed power suppliers and when asked by Scottish Power why we were leaving them we said quite simply BECAUSE OF YOUR REPEATED PHONE CALLS.
