Called to say I d had an accident and a payout was waiting for me. I stopped the call at this point by saying I had not had an accident and the payout was not for me. Having said that twice the caller gave up.

SCAM Recorded message purporting to be from AMAZON! Said my Prime Renewal was up , and to press "1" FAKE FAKE FAKE! How did I know? 1.Amazon confirmed to me they are investing such a phone scam , and that they NEVER call you! 2. My renewal is in April 3. I never gave my landline number !

They appear to have changed tactics - they now phone claiming that I m due compensation because of illness on holiday in the past 3 years. This hasn t happened and I asked them how they got hold of my number - they said from my holiday company, which is strange because I always put a no against any desire to share information with a 3rd party. When I said I was inTPS and would sue them if they called again, they said l couldnt do that...hilarious. when I asked for their name they hung up. Avoid.
