SCAM An automated phone call with the caller pretending to be from HMRC.
Have been called numerous times on various dates by this company, but 3 times yesterday was the final straw. Said they were a Debt Advice Agency and when asked, they indicated that they got my number because I had entered a recent competition online and included the detail - why would me entering a competition be any indication that I need debt advice?! A gentleman called me in this number - he had lots of info about me which I didn’t like- he basically said I was due some money from a bitcoin account but I needed to open a bitcoin wallet to receive the money - I asked him to send me all the details via email ( he already had my address) and as yet I haven’t received an email - it is worrying when they know so much about you - it is easy to think it is ligit… be careful …
