Live in Worcestershire. This number called and said she was a nurse looking after Joyce Stevenson in Grimsby. Not sure how they managed to get number so wrong. Scam ?

Had a call saying i had a warrant for my arrest and i owed £2000 but if i pad this then I would avoid going to court to pay £370000. Tried to call the numbe rback but not in use.
It claimed to be from Halifax but I have nothing to do with Halifax - aside from any financial links, I do not even know anyone who lives there!!!!
Lady called saying she was from Microsoft Technical Department and my computer had been hacked and was sending out viruses. Told her this was a common scam. After some persistence she passed me to a man who repeated the ruse. Eventually he told me to prepare to lose my computer and for the legal issues that will follow from the UK government before hanging up.
