Call from a telephone blocking service. He asked if I received nuisance calls. I said yes plenty but he didn t understand the irony and pressed on with his script. I asked where he was based. He said 70 Margaret Street London which is the HQ of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) (Note that the caller was NOT from the TPS). I asked him the name of the nearest underground station at which point he terminated the call.
SCAM claimed to be from HSBC - don't bank with HSBC
I believe this number is hoping that you will call back to charge you a premium. The line clicked and buzzed when I answered it but no one spoke at all . Why else is someone from Russia calling me?
